The SCRIP project (Small Business Cybersecurity Resilience Initiative) aims to significantly enhance cybersecurity resilience among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Poland and across the EU, with a particular focus on sectors deemed critical under the NIS2 Directive—such as healthcare, energy, and essential digital services.
By combining artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, threat intelligence sharing, and advanced SOC tools, the project delivers a scalable, EU-wide cybersecurity framework that protects SMEs, enhances regulatory compliance, and supports cross-border collaboration in the digital single market.
Work Packages
The coordination ensures consistent implementation of all project activities, in line with EU financial and technical requirements. Integration of SOC (Security Operations Center) services enables continuous infrastructure monitoring for participating small businesses.
The project will adopt and align with established EU-wide frameworks such as the Blueprint and CyCLONe for coordinated incident response. This harmonisation ensures interoperability, scalability, and compliance with European cybersecurity protocols.
A centralized SIEM/SOAR system will be deployed to collect, correlate, and automate responses to cyber threats in real time. This infrastructure supports small enterprises by reducing detection and reaction times in a cost-effective manner.
The initiative incorporates advanced analytics and forensic techniques to improve threat intelligence and post-incident analysis. These capabilities enable SMEs to understand attack patterns and build proactive defenses.
The project will develop AI-supported predictive models to assess vulnerabilities and anticipate evolving threat landscapes. These models help prioritize mitigation strategies tailored to SME infrastructure profiles.
Targeted awareness campaigns and structured training modules will be delivered to elevate cybersecurity maturity among SME personnel. This package ensures that human factors are addressed alongside technical defenses.
