The first SCRIP Workshop has successfully taken place, marking an important milestone for the project. The event brought together project team members, partner organisations, and cybersecurity experts to strengthen knowledge, build skills, and align strategies for the future of digital security.
The workshop was designed to:
enhance the implementation of the SCRIP project,
improve collaboration between partners,
combine cybersecurity training with practical exercises,
and ensure that participants are ready to meet compliance and technical requirements.
This was the first edition (Vol. 01) in a recurring series of workshops that will expand with new partners and companies, fostering continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the SCRIP ecosystem.
Participants received a full introduction to the project’s origins, funding sources, strategic goals, and timeline. Key milestones and upcoming actions were also reviewed.
A central theme of the workshop was the importance of security awareness and continuous training. Human-factor vulnerabilities remain one of the biggest risks, and the group worked on designing a quarterly cybersecurity awareness program.
The technical session provided an inside look at the Security Operations Center (SOC). Experts presented SIEM, SOAR, and IDS/IPS tools, as well as network monitoring methods. A live incident detection and response simulation gave participants valuable practical insights.
Another important focus was regulatory compliance. The workshop explored the requirements of ISO/IEC 27001:2022, the NIS2 Directive, and the new Polish Cybersecurity Act (KSC). Case studies illustrated how organisations can meet compliance while continuously improving their Information Security Management System (ISMS).
Beyond the technical aspects, participants also worked on how to effectively promote the project. This included identifying target audiences, choosing communication channels, and creating mini promotional campaigns.
In addition to the panels, the workshop created space for valuable networking opportunities. Participants exchanged experiences, built professional relationships, and engaged in open discussions about the challenges of modern cybersecurity. Certificates of participation were awarded at the end of the day.
The SCRIP Workshop Vol. 01 is only the beginning. Future workshops will include more partner organisations, ensuring that the project remains a hub for cybersecurity training, compliance alignment, and digital resilience.
